Do I require an ETA to travel to Ireland?

Electronic Travel Authorisation “ETA” – Required for entry into Northern Ireland & the UK (Scotland, England & Wales)

The Electronic Travel Authorisation “ETA” is a new requirement that grants permission to travel to the UK, including Northern Ireland.

If your itinerary only includes the Republic of Ireland and does not involve Northern Ireland, you do not need an ETA, as this requirement applies only to travel to the UK and Northern Ireland.

Do I need a Visa to visit Ireland and the UK?

Travellers from the United States, Canada and European Union Countries do not need a visa to enter Ireland, Northern Ireland or Scotland with vacations or tours that last shorter than 90 days.
