Day 1: A Giant welcome awaits as you are greeted by your professional Irish chauffeur and Guide. Travel northwards to Belfast with a stop on the way for your first “Taste of Ulster” with locally made scones, jam and fresh cream with tea or coffee. Continue to Belfast for a panoramic city tour viewing the famous sites of Belfast. Your chauffeur will then take you to visit the fabulous world award-winning Titanic Centre. Explore at your leisure and find out how Belfast became the busiest shipyard in the world. Later this afternoon join local musicians on your own personal traditional music trail around Belfast, where you will visit bustling bars to hear music and song and a drink or two! Some of these bars are the city’s oldest buildings. After our tour, free time is allocated for you to explore the city at your leisure or to do a little shopping before check-in to our hotel. This evening your chauffeur will gladly give suggestions for dinner or join you at an old favourite casual dining experience, at  Fish City,  a rustic-chic seafood restaurant with a nautical flair and just a short stroll from our hotel.

Overnight – The Europa or Maldron Hotel Belfast – Bed & Breakfast with dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2: This morning after a hearty breakfast we leave Belfast for a full day’s exploration of the Antrim coast, the intriguing Glens of Antrim and the Giants Causeway with its fabulous exhibition centre. Enjoy a local culinary dish and beverage for Lunch in one of the regions oldest bars, the Fullerton Arms, which was also a coaching Inn in days gone by!! Then enjoy the beauty of the Glens and hear about life in this wonderful part of Ireland as we drive back to Belfast with fantastic views across the Irish sea to Scotland. This evening you are free to explore the many bars and restaurants of this historic city and sample some excellent local cuisine. Overnight – The Europa or Maldron Hotel Belfast – Bed & Breakfast.

Day 3: We leave Belfast this morning and travel to the Mountains of Mourne with a stop in Downpatrick at St. Patricks Visitor Centre. Hear the story of Ireland ‘s most famous Saint come alive at this wonderful experience. We then have lunch at Denvir’s Inn, one of Ireland’s oldest bars right in the heart of Downpatrick. We also meet local guide and experience ambassador, Tracey Jeffery, who demonstrates how to bake her traditional Ulster Potato bread. (You can also sample some!!). Later we drive the Mourne Coastal route which has some of Northern Ireland’s most spectacular scenery to Rostrevor at the foot of the Mourne Mountains and shores of Carlingford Lough. We visit Killowen Distillery a place where old traditions and the finest natural resources have been blended to produce world-class craft spirits. Experience “the water of life “(whiskey) with a tour and tasting before heading onto the City of Newry. This part of the Mournes Mountains relate to the stories of the legendary Giant Finn McCool and many more old fables. Enjoy dinner this evening with food locally sourced to add an extra Mournes flavour to the menu.

Day 4: This morning after our freshly prepared breakfast we partake on an experience based around the magical region of South Armagh and the beautiful Ring of Gullion, where we link songs, poetry, and music with local guide Colleen Savage. A unique experience that embraces the Giant Spirit that exists in this area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We then travel north to visit the Armagh Cider Company and the Troughton family. Here you will have the chance to taste a range of ciders and apple juices produced locally. You’ll discover recipes, hear stories or ‘yarns’ that bring the place to life, and meet the people who make up this small family business. They love their apples and are enthusiastic storytellers and extraordinary guides. We spend our last evening sampling traditional Irish dishes with a welcome drink or two and are entertained by local musicians who will immerse you with song and dance. “Irish traditional music is a patchwork quilt and therein lies its soul”.

Day 5: After a relaxing breakfast it is time to leave with fond memories of your Giant Northern Ireland Experience!
